Rich in history and culture, Araluen Botanic Park has offered visitors a peaceful sanction since 1929. Initially founded for a holiday camp for the Young Australian League Araluen has since become a world class botanic Park in Roleystone located just 35km from the Perth CBD.
Autumn colour at Araluen starts before you reach the entry gates with Maples and October Glory putting on a stunning display of colour. Winter is the time to experience our Camellias. Araluen is recognised by the International Camellia Society as a Garden of Excellence, one of only 29 around the world. Late Winter to early Spring brings the Magnolias into flower delivering sweet scents throughout the Park.
It’s Yates Springtime at Araluen is our biggest Festival running over August and September where you can expect to see over 140,000 Tulips and other Springtime flowers in bloom.
Araluen Botanic Park is also recognised for its varied calendar of events. The Araluen’s Chilli Festival and the Araluen’s Avocado Festival are both held annually in the Park respectively in February and November.
